Available to Charlottesville and Albemarle residents only, in partnership with the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County. During our 90-minute visit, you’ll get an evaluation of your home’s energy efficiency, the advice of one of LEAP’s certified Residential Building Analysts, a blower door test, an infrared camera scan (weather permitting–there needs to be at least a 10 degree difference between indoor and outdoor temperatures) and installation of FREE energy efficient products such as LED light bulbs, pipe insulation, water saving showerheads and faucet aerators, and more — plus a checklist of additional energy saving improvements for your home. LEAP offers this program to help homeowners realize immediate savings on their energy bills as a result of the complimentary energy-saving products that are part of the program: LEDs, and pipe wrap for hot water pipes, may be installed during your visit.

LEAP is a provider of income and age qualifying weatherization programs for Dominion Energy customers. These programs provide money-saving services at no cost to qualified owners and renters, or landlords and property managers whose residents qualify. Single-family homes, multi-family homes (apartments or condos), and mobile homes all qualify. To help save on energy costs, qualifying Dominion customers will receive a free energy assessment and free energy-saving measures

Through generous support from the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County, LEAP is now offering Energy Smart Rebates up to $500 total per home to city and county homeowners for select energy efficiency upgrades. Rebates are designed for upgrades and retrofits; not available for new construction.
